091 There are only the walls of this church now remaining which are very entire, it was the Ph. [Parish] church of Glengairn. before it was united to that of Glenmuick It is about 60 years Since any worship has been held in it. The date of its erection I cannot ascertain, It is believed to have been erected on the site of a Roman Catholic chapel which was dedicated to St. Mungo; from the fact of a well being near the ruins. which is well Known as St. Mungo's Well, and also a stone font, being still visible embedded in the ground. at the West end of the existing ruins. It is also recorded in Mures history of Glasgow from which the following is extracted.
