028 This was one of the two Ardlogie Cairns mentioned in the old Ph. [Parish] Statistics It is Said this cairn was large, but was all removed some 30 years Since for building cottages with, It appears that no relics have been discovered about it, The site upon which the Cairn Stood is at the S [South] edge of an occupation road, at a tree near Mr Marr's farm Steading of Upper Kirkton a tradition exists that a person of the name of Finnie was killed at the spot and the cairn called after him others thinks the first tradin. [tradition] is lost and that it was called after the marsh or Fens which once existed a little north of it.
