issues from Springs a little N.E. [North East] of Fyvie Parish and forms the Parish boundary from a point abt. [about] ½ a mile S.W. [South West] of Swanford Farm and leads in a Southward direction for a few miles till a little above the Mill of Gight it joins a bigger stream called the little water and here it changes the name to the Little Water which also forms the boundary to the River Ythan and mostly over the Lands of the Earl of Aberdeen.
