029 a well known old name of a wild, rugged and steep feature extending from the Ford of Minnonie along the river Ythan, on the E. [East] side, for 2. or 3. miles the lower portion of which is now apparently better known by the name Braes of Blairfowl The property of the Earl of Aberdeen. The river, it may be said, forms in this district a deep and wild ravine and the right Side of which downwards is under the name in question.
