029 Name of a small River which receives the Burn of Asleed abt. [about] 18. chains above the Mill of Gight where it forms the boundary of Fyvie southward for upwards of a mile where it enters the River Ythan at a well known old name Called the Black Stank, Proprietor, The Earl of Aberdeen.
This small River vizt. the "Little Water" is also known as, and is frequently termed the Black Water. It is also known as the Water of Gight.
