029 Consisting of two Stone Cists each formed of 6. stones or Flags, measuring abt. [about] 2 feet Square on every side, and in each were found a deposit of human bones and ashes found on the Sub Soil at the east side of the Site of Cairn, upon the summit of Back Hill. as the greater portion of the Site is not yet trenched over for cultivation or explored It is Supposed to contain a few more relics.

029 Situated at a Stone dyke and a Trigl. [Trigonometrical] Station and about 20. chains E. [East) of Back Hill, The Cairn (it is supposed) to have been abt. [about] 22. yds [yards] in diameter and is removed some 40. years Since - I could not ascertain of any relics being found in the Site. proprietor The Earl of Aberdeen.

029 a large cairn which measured abt. [about] a Chain in diameter the material having been removed for building walls except one large Slab abt [about] 4½ feet above the Surface left standing to mark the spot. The site was brought under cultivation by Mr Fowlie in 1858. situated abt. [about] 24 yards W. [West] of a pub. [public] road and abt. [about] 19. chains S.S.E. [South South East] of Back Hill proprietor, The Earl of Aberdeen.
