003 A stone pillar rising to the hight of 12 feet surmounted by the Royal arms, and the arms of Fraser of Philorth. It stands in the centre of Saltoun Square, its original site to which it was removed some years ago from the east side where it stood on a hexagonal basement. The area of which measured 500 ft and was ascended by 9 graduations or steps:

003 A fine building containing some noble rooms especialy the great hall.
The Town House was first opened in 1855. it has a domical spire of good design, but situated too near the parish Church to show to advantage.
