048 The Mouth of River Ythan at Low Water Spring Tides is called "Newburgh Bar". From Holy Shore to the South End of Foveran Parish the Foreshore is little else but a Bed of Quick Sand the position of which changed at every Storm or extraordinary Spring Tides, so much so, that the mouth of the Ythan is sometimes Silted up so much that Navigation up the River is susp[ended] till the Fresh Water floods break through the Bar.
