[Note relating to 'Tillybrig'] - Note- The difference of termination in the second syllables of the names Tillybrig, Tilliboy, Tillibrother, Tillyorn, &c. has been referred to the field, but the authorities are not agreeable to an assimilution [Initialled] J.L.]

The authorities were right at the time. All the Tillies in Echt now appear in Val [Valuation] Roll "Tilly" except Tilleoch. [Initialled] JMcD.
