The above mentioned stone was removed to Mounie Castle during the Summer of 1866. and lies in one of the ground floor rooms, in its former position the carving on it was in much danger of being obliterated by passing Carts &c. The stone is about 32 inches in height. but was broken in two while being conveyed from Newton to Mounie Castle.

[There is a sketch of the Standing Stone. It states the measurements are 2 feet broad and 2 feet 8 inches in height. It is decorated with 2 crescent shapes, a staff, a crown, and a circular object].
