036 ; 045 | A parish in the Garioch district of Aberdeenshire, Situated about nineteen miles north west from Aberdeen. It is bounded on the north by Fyvie, on the east by Fyvie and Meldrum, South by Bourtie and Chapel of Garioch and on the west by Rayne and Chapel of Garioch "Its boundaries are principally natural being defined by the courses of rivulets, the largest one of which, on the eastern side, is joined by various tributaries from the neighboring parishes, and runs Southward to the river Urie" [Continued on the next page] "Daviot is dedicated to St. Colm the Abbott, whose feast is on the 9th of June.
