091 ; 100 | "This river takes it's rise from Loch Muick, & runs through a considerable part of Glenmuick, in a direction from south-west to north-east. Its length is about 10 miles & it falls into the Dee at the manse. About the middle of its course, there is a cascade called the Linn of Muick, where the water falls 36 feet over a perpendicular rock & in times of floods makes a thundering deafening noise & dashes its spray in every direction above & around it."
