I should say Tom a Cadha "Knoll of the pass" because it is near The Ca'
Strathdon & evidently there was a pass at the foot of these hills leading from Glengairn
to Strathdon. The road is marKed on both sides though there is a breaK on the boundary.

The form & meaning entirely depend on cuil being long or short.
cúileag, a fly, cùileag, a little recess or corner. I do not Know which is right.
neither do the natives. The name must stand as it is.
