Mr Gordon, Farmer, Gordonstown
043 This road takes its name from its leading from Kildrummy Castle, the chief seat of the Earls of Mar and Garioch to the Garioch. It was at one time a main line of communication, but since the road by Auchindoir and Rhynie was properly constructed, it has in a great measure fallen into desuetude, though it may still be occasionally used as a shorter line by riders and foot passengers and so may in a certain sense be considered public.
