054 These ruins are situate close to the farm of Tullos, it was originally a Mansion House of a small estate. It is not a home Sixty of Seventy Years since it was inhabited.
By the County people it is called Tullos Castle, but its claims to being called a Castle are very poor were it not for the fact that a stone bearing the date of 1651 was taken from it one would be lead to beleive that it was quite modern, and only unroofed to give the material for some other building, Its square windows, and broad chimneys, show that if it was a castle, it was ill fitted for defensive purposes.
