046 by Mr Alexander the farmer whilst digging for gravel. The Urn seems to have stood a few feet under the surface, covered with a thin flag upon the mouth or Top and was made of pottery clay and seems to have contained charcoal or ashes but the Urn was accidentally broken to bits before it was discovered by the party.

046 discovered in 1837 by Mr Peter Alexander, whilst tiling and improving the land. The Cist measuring about 30 inches long and 20 inches broad with as many in depth and some 2 feet under surface, situated immediately North of a stone wall and upwards of ½ a Chain E. [East] of Pitgaveny Stock yard.
