027 Supposed to have been a station made by one of the Cumines of Buchan before they were defeated by Adam o' Gordon at Strathlogie who led Robert the Bruce's troop and there obtained a decisive victory over them that led to the over throw of that powerful family. The remains of a deep cut trench the tract of it is well defined were shewn on trace from its being in a state of cultivation there is less to be seen of it every year
