082 A large Stream formed by Lumphanan Burn and the boundry stream between Coull and Aboyne, it has a rapid course on which there are two falls, at a place on the burn called the Sloc of Dess. There are two mills close by its sides, one a Spinning, the other Saw, afterwards falling into the River Dee at Desswood

082 Two falls on the Dess Burn. The burn at this place descends about 50 ft in a distance of thirty yards, the falls do not exceed 12 feet perpendicular and A circular hollow on Dess burn into which descends the falls, one half of this feature is represented in Kincardine O'Neil ph. [parish].
