081 ; 082 The parish of Aboyne and Glentanner is in the Presbytery of Kincardine O'Neil and Synod of Aberdeen. Patron the Marquis of Huntley.
The parish is bounded on the east by the parishes of Birse and Kincardine O'Neil; in the south by the county of Forfar; on the west by the parish of Glenmuick Tullich and Glengairn; and on the north, by the parishes of Logie Coldstone, Coull, and Lumphanan. A small detached portion lying to the south and east of Finzean, in the parish of Birse.
This name book contains only a small portion of the parish of Aboyne and Glentanner (Proper) the remainder together with the detached portion will be done by the Aberdeen Division. ie. the Book for Birse parish
