* Since 1881 a population of 692 has been transferred to the Burgh of Stirling from the County.
+ The figures are intended to refer to the Parish of Logie as reconstituted by the Boundary Commission. The population
in 1881, and the acreage, may not be absolutely correct.
‡ Made up of 896 acres, forming the burgh of Falkirk, and 115 acres, which are part of Grangemouth. The other parts of
Grangemouth are in Bothkennar parish (217 acres) and Polmont parish (122 acres), the total area of the burgh being
454 acres. For these facts I am indebted to Mr. Black, surveyor, Falkirk.
