103A survey of the SHOP TAX in the Town of Linlithgow
from the 5 of April 1787 to the 5 of April 1788, By James Watson Surveyor
I James Watson Surveyor aforesaid Do hereby Certify that the above design'd [designated] Mr.
James Taylor was duly charged with the above Shop tax duty amouting to two
shillings & eight pence Sterling and that upon the Eighteenth day of December current
I delivered an exact Duplicate hereof to Mr. William Napier Collector for the
said Borough duly signed & attested by me
