I David Ross Surveyor aforsaid Do hereby certify That upon Carefull examination of the foregoing Rates and dutys
I find they amount to one pound Seven Shillings and Sixpence Sterling and that upon the Eight day of September
last ~ I delivered to George Murray Treasurer of the Burgh of Tain Collector of the said Duteys for the Burgh aforsaid
an exact Duplicate of the above acc. [account] duely examined and Compared with the foregoing, which Contained my oath, That the
above Servant was all that was returned to me or was kept within the said Burgh to my knowledge and best Information
and that Mr Baillie was to be Charged with that amt [amount] hereby Certifyed to be due by him. David Ross
