Page 3 Shire of Dumfries from 1777 to 1778 ContinuedI William Brunton Assessor aforesaid having made a survey over the whole County find that the Servants subject
To the Duty Taxed by the late Act of Parliament are all mentioned and contained on this and the two preceeding
pages, which contain the Names of the Gentlemen they serve in the County the Names of the Servants Taxed
and their several employments with the Duty annexed to each Servants Name. From the 5th of July 1777
To the 25th of March 1778 Amounting in whole to the Sum of Forty Seven Pounds Five Shillings
Sterling. The aforesaid Survey being an Exact Duplicate of that sent to David Newall fore Collector of the
said Duties for the County aforesaid.
