I George Ballantyne Assessor appointed by the Gentlemen in the County of Tweedale have According
To their appointment made a Survey over the whole County, find that the Servants Subject to the
payment of the Duty Taxed by the late Act of Parliament are all mentioned and Contained in the
Particular Lists thereof wrote upon the two preceeding Pages, which contains the Names of the
Gentlemen whom they serve in the County, the names of the Servants Taxed and their different
Employments, with the Duty annexed to each Servants Name, From the fifth of July One Thousand
Seven Hundred and Seventy Seven, To the Twenty fifth of March One Thousand Seven Hundred
and Seventy Eight being an Exact Duplicate of that sent to John Robertson Collector of said
Tax for the County aforesaid George Ballantyne
