The Laird of Bangour (West Lothian) was a Heritor of Bothkennar parish in that period.
John Cowie feued the east Mains of Bothkennar prior to John Hardy.
St Martins: Mr James Dallas, eldest lawful son of Mr George Dallas of St. Martin's, Ross-shire, owned North Newton at this time and the name was transferred from the parental estate.
Pumphlebridge is an earlier form of the place known today as Pinfoldbridge.
The given total is one shilling less than the sum of the individual assessments.
