Agreeable to an order from The Right Honble [Honourable] The Barons of His Majestys Exchequer in Scotland and as the Lands and split upon Cess and Valuation Books of the County and Charged with and pay Cess and other Public burdens the rein. Parish of Ardclach N.B. The Estate of Lethen in the Parishes of Ardclach and Auldearn Exclusive of Coulmony and others purchased from the Family of Kilravock stands valued in the original Valuation Roll of the County at £2276 Scots and it does not appear from my record to have been regularly divided by the Commissioners. The Proprietors Factor has however certifyed that £1175 of the valuation is laid upon the Lands in the Ardclach parish and £1101 upon these in Auldearn and that they have been in use to be charged with and pay public burdens [---]

E106/23/4/3 We the Commissioners and Clerk of supply of the County of Nairn Subscribing Do hereby Certify and attest that what is contained upon this and the two proceeding Folio pages is a just and true [Page] 2 Duplicate of the Cess and Valuation Book of the County of Nairn as corrected and made up from the original Valuation Roll and Subsequent Divisions and as the Lands and others therein mentioned, are now charged with and pay Cess and other Public Burdens Amounting the whole Valuation of the County to Fifteen thousand one hundred and sixty two pounds Ten shillings and Eleven pence and One fourth of a penny Scots. The Lands of Ferrintosh the Property of Arthur Forbes Esquire of Culloden in the parish of Urquhart are valued in the original Valuation Roll of this County at £2049.7.0. and tho' by a special Act of Parliament they pay Cess in the County of Inverness According to a Valuation of £1200 Scots and are locally situated in the County of Ross, they are still politicaly con- -ected [connected] with this County, and Mr. Forbes stands upon the Roll of Freeholders in Virtue of these Lands.
