Proprietor Land Valuation Totals
PARISH OF TROQUEER, Continued.
Date of Decree. NAMES OF LANDS. £ s. d.
1 Oct 1819 James Kennan's Interest, valuation £16.0.4 divided as under:-
George Hair's share thereof, now called Corberry Square, £5.2.10
John Hairs share thereof, now called Corberry Place, £10.17.6 £16.0.4
Found, that although the Subjects denominated James Kennan's Interest are said to lie at Greenhead, yet there is no such Subject as Greenhead, distinct from James Kennan's Interest, in this parish; and therefore found that it was erroneous, and ultra vires of the Commissioners, to introduce into the Valuation Roll, dated 14th June, 1799, an article denominated Greenhead, at eight pounds Scots of valued rent:
Found, that the proceedings of the Commissioners of Supply, in that instance, are nugatory, and void and null, and that the division of the valued rent of the lands denominated Greenhead, made by the Commissioners on 8th October, 1805, is also void and null; and the Clerk of Supply directed not to enter the said supposititious article denominated Greenhead, or Upper Greenhead, Middle Greenhead, and Nether Greenhead, in the New Valuation Roll of the Stewartry.
That part of Thomas Martin's Houses and Land, valued at £27.10.0 per decreet of 15th September, 1748, and called Neilson's Bilboa in the Valuation Roll of 14th June, 1799, divided as under:-
Part thereof belonging to Peter Ewart £9.2.1
Part thereof belonging to William Barry, £5.7.7
Part thereof belonging to George Hair, £7.0.0
Part thereof belonging to John Fergusson, £3.19.5
Part thereof belonging to John Syme, £2.0.11 £27.10.0
12 Oct 1819 Found that the Article denominated Fergusson's Interest, and valued at £57.13.4 in the Valuation Roll of 14th June, 1799, comprehends Collieston's Land and Houses, valued at £26.13.4; Frazer's Interest, valued at £24.6.8; and Crosbie's Acre, valued at £6.13.4, in the Valuation Roll, dated 19th April, 1780; and the Clerk of Supply directed to restore the Properties denominated Collieston's Land and Houses, and Crosbie's Acre, to the Valuation Roll, the former at £26.13.4 and latter at £6.13.4 of valued Rent.
Frazer's Interest, valuation £24.6.8 divided as under:-
Part thereof belonging to John Fergusson, £12.11.2
Part thereof belonging to Robert Kirk, £11.15.6 £24.6.8
26 Oct 1819 Found, that Mrs Jane Gracie of Garroch is not liable to pay Land-tax, or other public burdens, for the valued Rent of the property now called Mrs Irving's Land, formerly Janet Loure's Two Acres in that parish, and Mrs Gracie relieved from payment of the same, now and in time coming.
Found also, that the property called Mrs Irving's Land, formerly Janet Loure's Two Acres, in this parish, is included in the Lands belonging to John Fergusson, Painter in Dumfries, and which were acquired by him from William Copland of Collieston, now deceased; and that the said John Fergusson is liable to pay Land-tax and other public burdens for the same, conform to £13.8.0 Scots of valued Rent.

PARISH OF TWYNHAME.
NAMES OF LANDS.
26 Oct 1819 Found that Mr William Thomson, Writer in Dumfries, is not liable to be charged with the valued rent of any lands or tenements in this parish, other than the Three Acres formerly rented by Elspeth McNaught, as stated in the Valuation Roll of 112th October, 1753, and valued at £20 Scots, and Gribton's Three Acres valued at £23.6.8 Scots;
and Mr Thomson relieved of the overcharge of £8 Scots, erroneously made on his Lands in this Parish, under the denomination of Laurieknow, in the Valuation Roll dated 14th June 1799, and in the subsequent Valuation Roll dated 18th November 1803.
30 Apr 1782 The Lands of Nether Newton, valuation £90, divided as under:-
Alexander Brown's half of Newton, commonly called Longlands, £45.0.0
Thomas Brown's half of Newton, £45.0.0 £90.0.0
4 Jan 1799 The Lands of Largs, Kilnhill, and Glencroft, valuation £110, divided as under:-
Largs, belonging to Mrs Falcon, £75.0.0
Bearlochan, (formerly Kilnhill) belonging to Anthony Broadfoot, £25.0.0
Glencroft, belonging to James McGhie, £10.0.0 £110.0.0
16 Apr 1799 The above division found to be erroneous, because instead of £110, the Lands of Largs, Kilnhill, and Glencroft, ought to have been valued in cumulo at £116. The Commissioners now adjudged and declared the cumulo valuation of the said Lands to be £116, and ordered that valuation to be divided as under:-
Largs, belonging to Mrs Falcon, £79.0.0
Bearlochan, (formerly Kilnhill) belonging to Anthony Broadfoot, £26.0.0
Glencroft, belonging to James McGhie, £11.0.0 £116.0.0
30 Apr 1808 The Lands of Upper Cumpston, valuation £93.10.0 divided as under:-
Part thereof, belonging to the Earl of Selkirk, £18.0.0
Part thereof, belonging to Adam Maitland of Dundrennan, £78.10.0 £96.10.0
The Lands of Nether Cumpston, valuation £94, divided as under:-
Part therof, belonging to the Earl of Selkirk £17.10.0
Part thereof, belonging to Adam Maitland of Dundrennan, £76.10.0 £94.0.0
