William Stothert of Cargen relieved of the valued rent of Conhooth's Seven Roods, £9; because it appears, from and investigation made by a Commitee of the Commissioners, that the Lands, denominated Conhooth's Seven Roods, do not belong to Mr Stothert; but that a part of them, valued at £3, is included in the sum of £21.6s (shillings) 8d (pennies) standing in the Valuation Roll as the valued rent of "Convenor McKie's Interest," now the property of William Brand of Mountainhall or his disponees; (continued)
and that the remaining part of the said Seven Roods, valued at £6, is comprehended in the sum of £49,17s (shillings) standing in the Valuation Roll as the valued Rent of "Halliday's Interest."
Harbert Lewars' Kirkland Croft, valued at £10 in the Antient Valuation Roll, found to belong to William Stothert of Cargen, over and above the Lands of Cargen, valued at £615; and therefore the Clerk of Supply directed to restore the said Lands, called Harbert Lewars' Kirkland Croft, to the Valuation Roll, at the valued rent of £10, and to charge Mr Stothert with that sum of valued rent, in addition to the valued rent of the other Lands belonging to him in this Parish.
17 September Found that it was erroneous and ultra vires of the Commissioners of Supply in making up the Valuation Roll, dated 14th June, 1799, to enter Nunland's Interest in that Roll, at the valued rent of £7 only, instead of £20, its true and proper valuation; and the Clerk of Supply directed to restore Nunland's Interest to the Valuation Roll, at £20 of valued rent, and to charge the same to Thomas Harestanes, William Brown, and John Howat,
John and William Rae relieved of the valued rent erronously charged on them, in respect of the properties denominated "james Kennan's Interest," and "Bailie Kennan's Houses," under the general name of "Wallace's Interest" in the Valuation Roll of 1799; and George Hair and John Hair found liable to pay land tax, and other public burdens, for "James Kennan's Interest," conform to £16.0s(shillings) 4d (pennies) of valued rent; and Peter Hope found liable to pay land tax, and other public burdens, (continued)
for Bailie Kennan's Houses, conform to £3.13s (shillings) 4d (pennies) of valued rent.
Found that William Taylor falls now to be charged with £6 of valued rent for his share (formerly Archibald Malcolm's share) of Conhooth's Seven Roods; and that William Brand falls now to be charged with £3 of valued rent for his share (formerly JohnMcKie's share) of the said Seven Roods.
Found that the property denominated "William Hutchison's Interest," and valued at £3. 6s (shillings) 8d (pennies) in the Roll of 1753, and in the Roll of 1799,was, by mistake, denominated "William Mitchellson's Interest," in the Roll of 1780; and the Clerk of Supply directed to enter that property, in the new Valuation Rol, by the name of "William Hutchison's Interest."
