We Alexander Ogilvy Fothringham of Pousie George Dempster of Dunnichen and William Douglas of Brigton Esqrs three of the Commissioners of Supply for the County of Forfar and Peter Rankin Clerk of Supply, Do hereby Certify That what is contained in the Fifty two preceeding pages is a just and true Statement of the Valued rent of the County of Forfar, as it stood on the 1st day of July last, [1 Jul 1802] in so far as the same could be made up from the cess books of the County, in the hands of the Collector of the land tax, of which there are none older than the year 1747 and from the records of the Commissioners of Supply in the hands of their Clerk, which commenced at Michaelmass 1767. Witness our hands at Forfar the thirtyeth day of June Eighteen hundred and three. [30 Jun 1803]
