Dumfries 12th Nov. [November] 1792
I William Laidlaw Assistant Surveyor do hereby Certify That upon
careful examination I find the foregoing Duties Amount to the
sum of Fifty One pounds eleven shillings and three pence Stg [Sterling ] And that
upon the 10th Nov.[November] Currt. [Current] I delivered to Mr Francis Maxwell Collector
of the said Duties an exact Duplicate hereof duly examined and
compared which contained my Oath that the preceding Inhabitants
were duly served with requisitions And that they were charged
conform to the several returns or according to my knowledge and
belief that they were liable in said duties.
