1 Horse at 3/9 [£0.3.9] being 3/4 of 5/- [£0.5.0] is £0.3.9
5 Horses at 7/6 [£0.7.6] being 3/4 of 10/- [£0.10.0] is £1.17.6
[Total] £2.1.3 Ster. [Sterling]

I William Johnstone Surveyor aforesaid do hereby Certify that upon carefull examination
I find the foregoing duties amount to Two pounds one shilling & three pence Ster. [Sterling] And
that upon the 29 Decemr. [December] 1789, I delivered to William Kirkwood Collector of said duties an
exact duplicate of this Acct. [Account] duely examined & Compared which contained my Oath that
the foregoing Inhabitants were duely served with requisitions of the above date. And that
they were charged conform to their Returns Or according to my knowledge & belief that
they were liable on said duties,
