Survey (By David Hutcheson Surveyor of Dumbartonshire etc)
of Additional Carriage and Riding Horse Tax kept
in the Royal Burgh of Dumbarton from 5th April [1790]
Addl [Additional] duty on 2 horses at 3/9 [£0.3.9] is £0.7.6
I David Hutcheson Surveyor aforesaid do hereby certify
that upon carefull Examination of the foregoing rates and
Duties find they amount in whole to the sum of Seven
shillings and sixpencesterling And that this day I
delivered to John McAulay Collector of said duties an exact
duplicate of the above account containing my oath that
Notices or requisitions were left with the whole foregoing
Inhabitants or at their dwelling houses of the date
aforesaid that they were to be charged with the
sums hereby certifyed to be due from them
