I William Currie Surveyor aforesaid do hereby Certify that upon carefull examination
of the foregoing several rates and duties I find the Amount in Whole to
twenty three pounds Sterl. [Sterling] and that upon the 22d day of Nov. [November] 1787 I
delivered to Mr Francis Maxwell Collr. [Collector] for the said duties for the Burgh
aforesaid an exact duplicat of the foregoing wich contained My Oath [that]
notices were left with the several Inhabitants or at their dwelling houses
of the date anexed to their respective Names that were to be Charged
with the sums hereby Certified to be due from them
