Kirkcudbright 32A survey of the Carriage and Horse Tax in Burgh of
Kirkcudbright from 10 Oct 1785 to 5th of April 1786 W Brunton Surveyor
I William Brunton aforesaid Do hereby Certify that upon
Careful examination of the foregoing several Rates and Duties
I find they amount to £2 Sterling and that upon the 8 March
1786 I sent by post to John Ewart Collector of the said Duties for
the Burgh aforesaid and an exact Duplicate of the above Account
duly examined and Compared with the foregoing Do make
Oath that the above is a just list returned by the Several
Inhabitants when requisition were made of the several
Dates aforesaid [signed] Wm Brunton
