I John Maughan Surveyor aforsaid do hereby certify that upon carefull examination of the forgoing rates & du [duties]
I find they amount in the whole to Three Pounds ten Shillings Sterling & that upon the Twenty fifth day of May one Thousand
seven hundred & Eighty five to Eighty Six I delivered to Mr George Mcqueen Collector of the said duties for the City
of Edinburgh an exact Duplicate of the forgoing account duly examined & compared which contained my oath th [that]
notices were left with the several inhabitances or at there dwelling houses of the dates annexed to there respe [respective]
names that they were charged with the sumes hereby certifyed to be due by them.
