Att Edinburgh the
.... day of ..... 1693
I Mr George Gray wryter in Edinburgh colector of the
hearth money in the Shire of Sutherland heirby declair
vpon my solimne oath In pnce [presence] of the Lords of their
Maties [Majesties] Thesaurie that the List of hearthes contained in
this book Extending to Tua Thousand one hundreth
and seventie five qch [quhich] are payed and Tua hundreth
and three qch [quhich] are unpayed is a trew and just list of
all the hearthes within the forsaid shire of Sutherland
to the best of my knouledge Excepting five hearthes
of poor Amounting to eleven parochins And that
I have used the outmost of my indevour to come
to the knouledge of all the hearthes of the saids parochins
And tht [that] I have not witttinglie nor willinglie
concealled any But given up the samen as said is
As I shall answer to God
