Page numberedd 2/ at top left in a modern hand.
The middle part of the page is divided in two vertically; these two sections are transcribed in turn.
The column headings are out of line in the original.
Some sections are bracketed together.
NOTE ON TRANSCRIPTION
'More payed after survey' has been written over something else and a little doodle apparently acts as a scoring out.
'Chriehien' appears to be a misreading of 'Clearihew', the Alford collector.
FORMS OF NAMES
Kincairn of Neill = Kincardine O'Neil
steanwood = Stoneywood. The spelling reflects the North-Eastern pronunciation of Scots 'stane'.
Auchintoyle = Auchintoul |
