I David Hutcheson Surveyor aforesaid do hereby certify that upon care/
full Examination of the foregoing Rates and duties find they amount in whole to One
pound seven shillings & sixpence sterling and that this day I delivered to John
McAulay Collector of the said duties for the Burgh of Dumbarton an exact
duplicate of the above accounts which contained my oath that the foregoing
Inhabitants were duly served, the dates above mentioned, with requisition
and that they were to be charged according to their return or to my knowledge
and belief & best information that they were liable in the said duties -
