CART TAX.
I James Allan Surveyor aforesaid, do Certify, That upon
carefull Examination of the foregoing Rates & duties, they Amount in whole
to Four Pounds, ten Shillings Sterg. [Sterling] and that I delivered of this day to
Mr Thomas Paterson of Stirling, Collector of said duties, for the Borough
aforesaid, an exact duplicate of the above Account, duly Examined and
compared with the foregoing, which contained my Oath that Notices were
left with the foregoing Inhabitants or at their Dwelling houses, that
they were to be charged with the Sums hereby Certified to be due from them.
