Sterling, and that upon the 26 day of december 1788 I delivered to Mr John Irving
Collectr. [Collector] for the said duties for the Burgh aforsaid an Exact duplicate of the foregoing
which Containd my Oath that Requisitions were left with the Several Inhabit-
ants or at their dwelling Houses of the date anexed to their Respective Names

Dumfermline Wheel Carriage Tax for one year ending 5th April 1789 by Charles Robb Surveyor
I Charles Robb Assessor aforsaid Do hereby certify That
upon carefull Examination of the foregoing rates and duties I find
they amount in whole to the sum of Forteen pounds, Sterling
And that upon the Sixth. day of November 1788 I delivered to James
Blackwood Collector for the Burgh aforesaid an exact duplicate of the
above Accompt duly Examined and compared with the foregoing
which contained my Oath that notices were left with the whole
foregoing Several Inhabitants or at their dwelling houses of the
date before annexed that they were to be charged with the Sum
with the sums hereby certified to be due from them

on the Twentieth day of December last I delivered to John Carlile Collector of the said duties for the

I Charles Robb Assessor aforesaid Do hereby certify that
upon carefull Examination of the foregoing rates and duties I find
they amount in whole to the sum of Forty ffive pounds and
Ten Shillings Sterling And that upon the Seventh day of
November 1788 I delivered to Mr. William Drysdale Town Clerk of
Kirkaldy Collector for the Burgh aforesaid an exact duplicate of
the above Accompt duly Examined and compared with the foregoing
Which contained my Oath that notices were left with the whole
foregoing Several Inhabitants, Or at their dwelling houses of the
date before annexed that they were to be charged with the sums hereby
certified to be due from them -

Survey of the WHEEL CARRIAGE TAX. In the Burgh of
Stranraer from the 5th April 1788 to the 5th April 1789 by Anthony Macmillan Surveyor
I Anthony Macmillan Surveyor aforesaid do hereby Certify that upon
carefull examination of the foregoing Several rates and duties I find they
amount in whole to be Fourteen Pounds Stg. [Sterling] and that upon the --
day of Novr. [November] one thousand seven hundred eighty eight
I delivered to Mr. James McDowall Collector of the said
duties for the Burgh aforesaid an exact Duplicate of the foregoing
which contained my oath that a Requisition was left with the said Person
at his dwelling house [ ] & to him of the date annexed to his name
[that ] he was to be [charged] with the duty hereby certified to be
due from him.
