the remains of a number of other hut circles
much effaced the walls of which have been
faced on the exterior with stone. The best
defined has an interior measurement
of 31' x 35' and a bank 9' wide at base
entirely overgrown. A slight rise near the
centre of the interior & a few stones protruding
from it suggest the existence of an inner
structure.
About 1/2 m. [mile] due S. [South] of Achnaclyth are
two hut circles some 80' distant from
each other. The one has interior measure:
:ments 21' x 25' and is entered from the
E. [East] The features of the other are much
effaced.

"The Wag" Achnaclyth (34)
About 3/4 m. [mile] SE. [South East] of Achnaclyth on the
low ground by the side of the
burn and adjoining a large sheep-fold
are the remains of three or more galleried
houses bearing the name of "The Wag"
They all appear to have been on plan oblong with
rounded ends. The best preserved lies
E and W. [East and West]. It measures some 34' in length
and 15' in breadth. The entrance ap:
:pears to have been through the S. [South]
wall at 23' from the W. [West] end. The thickness
