measures 3' in height above ground, 3'.5" in
breadth, 6" in thickness and faces N [North] by E [East] and
S. [South] by W. [West].
(Reay) Cairn Lambsdale Leans. (54)
On the E. [East] bank of the Torran Water about
1/4 m. [mile] above its influx into Loch Shurrery is
a cairn overgrown with grass. It is
slightly oblong on plan lying with its longest
axis E [East] and W. [West] and rises in height towards
the latter direction. In diameter it measures
55' from E [East] to W. [West] by 41' from N. [North] to S. [South]. Its
elevation at the E. [East] end is trifling and at
the W. [West] 6' or thereby. It has not been
excavated.
Fort. Beinn Freiceadain (7)
On the summit of Beinn Freiceadain
at an elevation of [--] is a stone built fort.
It occupies the whole of the summit
which measures 850' by 500' and is
oval in outline. Commencing where the
slope of the hill is less steep on the
W. [West] a stone wall some 5' in thickness
has been built along the edge of a
natural terrace which stretches on an
average for a distance of some 20'
out from the base of outcropping
rock which forms the side of the actual
