A large ancient Moat Situate about 10 chains NE [North East] of the village of Kirk of Mochrum in Shape nearly resembling the frustrum of a cone. The appearance & Size of this moat resembles very much two others in this county, that of Balgreggan Moat & Ardwell Moat.
