008.14 A house of very ancient appearance, having offices and a farm of land attached. Mr. Fleming, Jarvie and Mr. Rankine of Airdrie informs me that notice is taken of it in Wodrows Church History, as being a place remarkable in feudal times, where Witches were executed and also during the period of the Reformation was the family residence of Cap. Cleeland whose name is much mentioned in Church History, East of the house is a small square tower of a building which had been the "Dovecot"but is now occupied as a dwelling house.
