It is a round stone about 3 feet high, on the property of Sir J. P. Orde Bart [Baronet]. This name signifies "The stone house". The foundation of these remains can only be traced; there appeared to have been several chambers. The whole is of circular shape, 60 links in diameter, and supposed to have been inhabited by an ancient race of people.
LOCH NA BEISTE Loch na Beiste A. A. Carmichael Esq 034 This name applies to a small loch situated about 1/2 mile south west of South Clettraval and about 1/2 mile west of Tigh Cloiche. on the property of Sir J. P. Orde Bart [Baronet]. This name signifies "The loch of the beast".
