073 This is a dry stone built cairn, built by the late Duke of Gordon, to the memory of the soldiers of the 42nd & 74th Highlanders who fell at the battle of Waterloo, and placed on the southern end of Torr Alvie It is about 12 feet high, & bears a suitable inscription on a copper plate built on one side
