005.01 [Situation] About forty chains North from Old Cambus Moss & thirty three W [West] from Dulaw Moss An embankment and ditch, supposed to be either British or Roman origin, it is low and appears too irregular for a Roman camp, No trace of it is visible on the North side, which has been cultivated. It is not stated in the New Statistical Acct [Account] that any of the remains of antiquity in this parish are of Roman origin. This Camp, therefore, must have been a British one.
