013.06 A spring, rising at the head of a cleugh in a field near the church at Channelkirk. it is called the Holy Well on account of the water for the font, having been taken from this spring, at the time a Catholic Church stood near the spot which the present one occupies.

013.06 A plain building of modern date, in good repair, and situated near the top of a hill of considerable height. It is the only place of worship in the parish, and affords accommodation for three hundred persons; The average number of communicants, is about two hundred.
This church is built on the site of a Roman Camp.
