[Statistical Account] this was a street running parallel to the shore, between the two fortified hills, said to have been 10 feet high and the same in width & paved, It is now merely a narrow cart track only about 200 yards of the North end being banked on the Coast side, but no regular pavement. However, it is still known in the locality by "Sraid Mhargadh".
