Survey SHOP TAX. Burgh of Inveraray
for the year ending 5th April 1788 by Duncn [Duncan] MacNuier Surveyor

I Duncan MacNuier Surveyor aforesaid do hereby Certify that upon carefull examination
of the foregoing Rate and duty I find the same ammounts to Three shillings stg [Sterling] And that upon
the 22 March 1788 I delivered to Peter MacArthur depute Collr [Collector] of the Cess and of
the above duty for the Shire of Argyll and Burgh aforesaid an exact Duplicate of
the above Accompt duly examined and Compared with the foregoing which contained
my Oath that Notice was left with the said Messrs James & Alexander Campbell's that
they were to be charged with the Rate & Duty set against their names
